AI Face Beautify
Beautify is a free online portrait retoucher that smooths skin, whitens teeth, and brightens eyes in one pass. It's face-aware, so the softening stays on skin while eyes, hair, lashes, and edges keep their detail — no plastic, over-blurred look. Pick a retouch strength, run it in your browser, and download a clean PNG with no sign-up and no watermark.

Natural skin smoothing that keeps real texture
The biggest problem with beauty filters is the waxy, airbrushed look you get when a tool blurs the whole frame. Beautify avoids that by detecting the face and skin region first, then applying edge-preserving smoothing only inside it. Fine details that make a portrait believable — eyelashes, brows, the sharp line of the jaw, individual strands of hair — are left untouched, so the result reads as good lighting rather than a filter. Blemishes, redness, and uneven patches soften while pores and structure survive. If you want the effect stronger, step up from Natural to Strong; if you only want to take the edge off, Subtle barely announces itself.
Teeth whitening and eye brightening in the same pass
A good portrait retouch is more than smooth skin, so Beautify also lifts two features that draw the eye. It gently whitens teeth — pulling down the yellow cast without turning them a fake, glowing white — and brightens the eyes so they read clearer and more awake. Because everything happens in a single run tied to one strength setting, you don't juggle separate sliders or masks: choose how far you want to push the whole look and the tool balances skin, teeth, and eyes together. It's ideal for headshots, dating and profile photos, graduation and event portraits, and social posts where you want to look rested and put-together.
How the face-aware retouch works
Beautify runs a self-hosted AI model that locates the face and separates skin from everything else — eyes, mouth interior, hair, and background. Inside the skin mask it uses edge-preserving smoothing, which averages out fine color noise and small blemishes while protecting real edges, so contours stay crisp instead of melting. The teeth and eye adjustments are targeted to those regions only. The whole pipeline runs on our own servers rather than a third-party API, your image isn't kept, and the result is baked into a full-resolution PNG. Inputs up to 4096px on the long edge are supported.
Beautify vs. Retouch: which one to use
Snapnedit has two face tools and they solve different problems. Reach for Beautify when the photo is already sharp and you just want a cosmetic polish — smoother skin, whiter teeth, brighter eyes. Reach for Retouch when the face itself is degraded: a small, blurry, low-resolution, or noisy portrait that needs to be reconstructed. Retouch rebuilds facial detail; Beautify deliberately leaves your features and structure exactly as they are and only refines the surface. If your goal is to look your best, start with Beautify; if your goal is to recover a rough old photo, start with Retouch, then Beautify the result if you like.

Frequently asked questions
Is the beautify tool really free?
Yes. Every in-browser tool on snapnedit is free to use with no account, no subscription, and no watermark on your download. Credits only apply if you call our API programmatically — using the website is free.
Will my skin look fake or over-smoothed?
No, unless you want it to. The default Natural strength softens blemishes and redness while keeping pores and texture, so it reads as good lighting. If you prefer a heavier, more polished finish, choose Strong or Max; for the lightest touch, choose Subtle.
What do the strength options do?
They control how hard the whole retouch is pushed. Subtle (0.3) barely smooths, Natural (0.6) is the balanced default, Strong (0.9) is a noticeable polish, and Max (1) applies the fullest skin-smoothing, teeth-whitening, and eye-brightening effect.
Does it whiten teeth and brighten eyes too, or just smooth skin?
All three in a single pass. Beautify softens skin, gently whitens teeth without an artificial glow, and brightens the eyes so they look clearer — all tied to the one strength setting you pick.
Will it blur the background or the rest of the photo?
No. The tool detects the face and skin region and confines smoothing to it, so hair, eyes, clothing, and the background keep their original detail and sharpness.
Can I use it on group photos or multiple faces?
Beautify is designed as a face-aware portrait retouch and works best on a clear single subject. It smooths detected skin regions in the frame, but for the most predictable, natural result use a well-lit photo where the face is the focus.
What file formats and sizes are supported?
You can upload standard image formats and the tool returns a full-resolution PNG. Inputs up to 4096 pixels on the longest edge are supported; larger images are scaled to fit before processing.
Is my photo private?
Yes. The retouch runs on snapnedit's own self-hosted AI rather than a third-party service, and your uploaded image isn't retained after processing.
How is beautify different from the retouch tool?
Beautify is a cosmetic polish for photos that are already sharp — it leaves your features intact and only refines skin, teeth, and eyes. Retouch is a restoration tool that reconstructs blurry, low-resolution, or degraded faces.
